The Berkshire Hathaway holding company, which belongs to the famous investor Warren Buffett, acquired shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing in the amount of $4.1 billion.

The billionaire, who is cautious about buying technology stocks, will see potential in Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) shares.

Warren Buffett-owned financial conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway has released third-quarter 2022 transaction data. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing shares rank 10th in Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio. The news sent TSMC’s stock skyrocketing as investor interest in the world’s largest chipmaker increased. Shares of Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) hit a two-year low last month due to a slowdown in the global economy and lower demand for processors. Buffett still continues to believe in Apple stock and oil, as evidenced by the deals with Chevron and Occidental Petroleum.
