Fortune has published a ranking of the most profitable American companies. In 2021, Fortune 500 corporations made a record $1.8 trillion in profits on $16.1 trillion in revenue. The rating of the most profitable companies (Fortune 500 list of companies 2021) in the world was headed by Apple, Berkshire Hathaway, Alphabet, Microsoft. The top ten also included Meta Platforms, Amazon, Bank of America, Exxon Mobil and Fannie Mae.
